Student Voice at Vale of York Academy is about YOU, the STUDENTS having a big input into the development of the school.

How do you help to develop the school?

  • You help to choose the staff we employ by getting involved in interview panels.
  • You help to improve behaviour by working on whole school initiatives
  • You have a voice through your student representatives on the School Council
  • You choose the charities we donate to
  • You inform Ofsted and Governors about school life through student panels
  • You have consulted on the proposed cashless system in the dining hall
  • You run and contribute to the school newsletter: Spotlight
  • You have recently consulted and given suggestions on classroom behaviour.
