Post-16 education

There are a range of opportunities available to our students on leaving school at 16 and we will work with them to help them make informed choices about their post-16 education.

Open evenings are held each year for prospective parents/carers and students to attend and view post-16 schools and colleges. Year 12 and 13 are sometimes referred to as ‘sixth form’.

Open evenings are generally held in November each year. Dates are now confirmed for 2018 and can be found on the City of York Council’s website
