Year 9 learn the importance of a healthy lifestyle
Our ‘Healthy Lifestyles’ focus for year 9 involved raising awareness about various health issues and about making safe and informed choices in regards to drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Our very own Mrs Brown and Mrs Peters delivered fantastic sessions on mental health awareness and safe sexual health. Our visitors from Hope UK and Lifeline York spoke to our students about the dangers of smoking, recreational and illegal drug use. The last lesson of the day was a mammoth fitness session for the whole year group— a fantastic effort by our very own PE team!
All in all, an amazing day for both staff and students. We can’t wait for Enrichment Day 2!
