Parents – How you can help

Moving schools can be an exciting but worrying time for your child. Below is a list of ways in which you can offer support and help your child.

  • Attend all the parent evenings
  • Come to the Information evening and meet your child’s form tutor.
  • Get informed about the school by reading the information pack we provide.
  • Read carefully all the information provided to you. It may answer many of the questions you both have.

Parents and Communication

The form tutor is a very important person in you and your child’s life. They should be the first person that you contact if there is an issue or problem that you want to discuss. Make sure that you take the opportunity given to meet him or her at the information evening.

The planner is also a useful means of communication between home and school. There is space for brief notes that you wish the form tutor or subject teacher to read.

If there is a problem then please inform us. If we don’t know, then we can’t help.
