Moving schools can be an exciting but worrying time for your child. Below is a list of ways in which you can offer support and help your child.
Get informed about the school by reading the information pack we provide.
Read carefully all the information provided to you. It may answer many of the questions you both have.
As soon as we get back to ‘normality’ please attend all the parent evenings.
Parents and Communication
The form tutor is a very important person in you and your child’s life. They should be the first person that you contact if there is an issue or problem that you want to discuss. We will make sure you have their contact details as soon as students have been allocated to forms.
The planner is also a useful means of communication between home and school. There is space for brief notes that you wish the form tutor or subject teacher to read.
If there is a problem then please inform us. If we don’t know, then we can’t help.
A massive thank you to Natalie and Fran @Tesco Clifton Moor for their incredibly generous donation to @ValeYorkAcademy Community Food Bank. This is a huge help. Tonight’s PE clubs are for year 8/9 bubbles - football and netball. Please remember these start at 3.05 and finish at 4pm. Looking forward to getting back to seeing these pupils in Pe clubs 👍 pic.twitter.com/q2FM…
Fantastic to see that Joe Holland in Year 7 and his brother Harry have won a Community Pride Award for their charity work. Congratulations boys...fully deserved! 👍 @ValeYorkAcademy pic.twitter.com/8QX0…
