Manor Church of England Academy is an 11-16 school serving the north-west of York. It has served the young people of the city for over 200 years. In 2016, 69.4% of its students achieved A*-C in English Language or Literature and Maths, 44.3% achieved the English Baccalaureate and its Progress 8 score was +0.26, showing that significant value was added to its students’ attainment.
Manor is committed to providing exciting learning that captures students’ imagination and helps them develop a lifelong curiosity and passion for study. This is achieved in a Christian environment where all young people are cared for, shown respect and given opportunities to help others. It is rated by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’.
Manor is a founding member of the Hope Learning Trust and is at the heart of the Ebor Teaching Schools Alliance, training the next generation of teachers.
