We are working in partnership with the national charity, the Breck Foundation, to run workshops with our Year 10 students. Students will receive presentations from Lorin Le Farve who runs the charity. Lorin’s son Breck was tragically murdered by an adult who had groomed him through contact on gaming sites. Students will receive these sessions during the week beginning 25 September.
In addition, we are offering a No Tech for Breck parental workshop at Vale of York Academy on Tuesday 26 September 2017 at 7.00-8.30pm in the main hall. Lorin will talk to parents about keeping your child safe online whilst gaming, using the internet and social media.
Parents with children in any year at the academy are welcome.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow morning, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready for the summer term! ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ #newterm#schooldays
