We are looking for a Safeguarding and Pastoral Support Officer to join our dedicated staff at Vale of York Academy.
Vacancy: Safeguarding and Pastoral Support Officer Salary: Grade G £22,021 to £24,313 Pro rata Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only Start date: ASAP
Vale of York Academy are looking to appoint a Safeguarding and Pastoral Support Officer who has experience working with young people and who will support the welfare and progress of students in their learning, behaviour and transitions.
The main purpose of the job is to work alongside the Assistant Vice Principal, taking the lead in the work required to support FEHA, Child in Need and Child Protection cases. The successful candidate will take a significant role in safeguarding practice within school. You will also use your own initiative to support parents and students with personal, emotional and social needs.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to influence, engage and motivate children and young people. You will need good organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage your own workload.
