Our Year 7 students enjoyed a visit from The BAE Systems Education Programme Roadshow this week – delivered in partnership with the RAF and the Royal Navy, celebrating all things STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Pupils got to watch a performance entitled “Are you talking to me?” which looked into how mobile phones connect people around the world, how computers talk to each other and how we talk to our devices for example, Bluetooth.
Students were introduced to the real life application of some of the most recent communication technologies within BAE Systems, the RAF and the Royal Navy.
Our Year 7s also had some fun with a zorb (see picture below), pushing it around to show its circumference and experimenting to see how many revolutions it would take to make it travel across the hall!
We're looking forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow morning, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready for the summer term! ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ #newterm#schooldays
