VALE OF YORK ACADEMY IS PART OF

Clubs and Activities

Extra-curricular activities are a major strength of Vale of York Academy. Enrichment activities range from clubs after school, holiday activities, plus a number of residential trips. A full list of clubs and activities running in the Summer 2019 term is available below.

Throughout the academic year, all departments contribute to our programme ensuring we offer an extensive range of activities to engage all.Β Students are consulted regularly on opportunities they would like to be made available within school.

For sports clubs, please ensure you bring your PE kits with you as you won’t be able to take part in uniform.

Duke of Edinburgh Award is run for Year 10 and 11 students. This award involves Camping, Walking, Cooking, and Navigating and of course lots of fun!

Team lists for fixtures will be put up before the games; once again you must ensure you bring your kit to school. Please see you teachers with any questions.

Homework Club

Homework Club is open to all pupils from every year group, every night after school in the school library, from 3.00-4.00pm. Pupils can come and study in a quiet environment, staff are on hand to offer support and assistance and IT is available for those who need it.
